2004
The founders, working their 9-5 in Manhattan, started selling anything they could find on eBay.
Q1 2005
Their most popular products were bar products, a dedicated eBay account for bar supplies was made, and NewYorkBarStore domain registered and setup.
Q3 2005
Products were growing out of their studio apartment in Murray Hill, and soon moved to New Jersey at a younger fraternity brother’s space in Hoboken.
2006
Sales grew, and warehouse expanded from frat house to UPS Store to self storage to a third party fulfillment center in Upstate New York.
2007
Importing from factories direct, new product lines, more expansion. One of the partners moves to China.
2008 – 2012
Multi-channel and hundreds of SKUs, operation is growing rapidly. New brands being made Electrapour and Liquid Revolutionist, as well as many strategic alliances with other brands in the industry.
2012 – 2018
New management, continuing to operate in similar fashion as years past.
2019
Original founder takes active management, builds NYBS to be a platform for brands representing the style and class of New York new B2B distribution channels.
